I've only played Star Ocean 3, and it's not as entertaining compared to other popular titles. I used to really enjoy it, but once you've really jumped into a series that has so much more variety in combat, it's really hard to go back. Star Ocean 3 was enjoyable, but there's just not enough appeal in the battle system to keep me engrossed anymore.

I have the 3rd one, but I never really...got into it. The battle system confused me, and it seemed kinda slow too.

I'd love to be able to play it properly one day though.

The only things that really appealed to me in SO3 were item invention and multiplayer mode. Dunno why though, they all seem so bland and uninteresting now. Perhaps it was because I always cheated to have a large amount of money that I enjoyed the invention station. xD

I hated the dungeons in the game, they were so damn long. The battles got old, and the story was never interesting enough to keep you hooked, mainly because the dialog failed.

But if there's anything you loved about them, it was the music, amirite? A lot of the dungeons were really rocking for me. The only dungeons I can really complain about are the Kirsla factory (whichever Kirsla facility you first meet Albel in) and the dungeon that becomes available after you beat the game.

I thought the music of it was pretty good. =]

It is disappointing that there were not any really awesome cutscenes, though. The spaceship cutscenes were alright when shit was being blown to bollocks, but I would've preferred to see a little bit of Albel vs Fayt. :\

Yeah I only played the 3rd one so I'm not really too eduacated on the SO subject.
Although I will admit the battle style was kinda fresh. It was fun in the begining but after a while I feel like I'm just button mashing.
Btw....Firewall sucks....so...hard....^^
