Default What did you guys think of Blitzball?

I have heard many mixed feelings about this game. I personally loved it, I liked how the entire game was played, how they leveled up and how you moved, it was truly a sport played FF style. The version of the game in FFX/2 was no were near as good though, at least in my opinion.

Hate hate hate HATED it with a passion.

Stupid Wakka, I never played blitzball after I had to so he stayed pathetically weak when compared to my other characters.

I loved Blitzball so much. To me, I thought it could possibly be its own game! If there was a few more stuff in it, im sure it could.

I pretty much took all the Albhed team and put em on Besaid :monster:

I enjoyed Blitzball a lot. Mainly it was because I cheated a little bit, but for about 50 hours of my gaming time, I spent it playing Blitzball. I think it'd be pretty cool if SE actually made Blitzball it's own game on a popular console.

Blitzball as a side game for the PSP would work, mainly because to some fans it was hugely addictive and great fun. It had a lot of potential, I just don't think the controls were utilised very well.

As for it's X2 reincarnation...No.

X-2's version of Blitzball was a real disappointment, I wonder why they changed it. You really don't even control your characters in the least. The basic gist of the game that I get from playing is to get your ass kicked and train your characters a lot.

I'm still wanting to see a match against the Zanarkand Abes. :\

The Blitzball in X2 didn't even make sense, it was all just watching the characters play, with a load of text. Talk about fun.

A match against the Zanarkand Abes would have been an awesome non-story subquest thing, or it would have been interesting to play a game in Dream Zanarkand, perhaps when Tidus goes unconscious during Gagazet.

I LOVED it. It really should be its own game. Live against other people like on Xbox live or summut. Make your own team captain xD I would faint. My awesome team was the original Aurochs. I kept them all. Including Wakka. My only addition was Tidus and Ropp. I know nobody does this, but you'd be surprised how good they get. I never lost.

Anyone have a favorite person to use?

Brother for me, I would have him as center, because when he got the ball, I could swim circles around others and score easily. I would also use Wedge and Tidus as fronts, one of the goers and someone who I cant remember as the two defense people. goalie would be this chick you find just after you cross the moonflow, she is by a bench, cant remember her name.

Later one, their stats would change and wedge would switch to goalie, and a few other spots would change, but the above was my line up most of the time.
